background & training
Dr. Stephanie D’Angelo received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Book University. She is an alumna of the University of Delaware where she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Stephanie is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, hoping to one day present at the national conference.
While studying for her Doctorate, Stephanie has completed clinical affiliations in a variety of settings such as sub-acute rehab at Gurwin Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Long Island, outpatient orthopedics in NYC, early intervention and pediatrics at Sensory Freeway in Brooklyn and acute care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. With these experiences, Stephanie has worked with a variety of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions ranging from newborns to geriatrics.
Stephanie continues to work with organizations like DREAM, a dance program in Harlem for children with and without disabilities as well as volunteering at the NYC Marathon Finish Line Medical Tent. Stephanie also works with Concussion Corner podcast, providing up to date content about the interdisciplinary approach to treating concussions and traumatic brain injuries. Through these experiences, Stephanie has consistently been reassured that helping others return to the best versions of themselves was her passion.
Outside of the clinic, Stephanie enjoys traveling and exploring new places while photographing the various sites and food she eats along the way as she makes memories with her family and friends. She is a past soccer player and swimmer, returning to her roots to stay active day to day. Lastly, if you can’t find Stephanie at Fit Club or home in Staten Island, she’ll most likely be cheering on her favorite team, the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
